About ShredEase

ShredEase began with a purpose born from the fields — quite literally. Growing up on a farm with a mother who was passionate about horses, I saw firsthand how respiratory issues like COPD could affect animals. One of her horses suffered badly, and we found ourselves searching for a bedding that was low-dust and safe. At the time, there were few choices. Cardboard bedding showed promise, but it was expensive and difficult to source.

That experience planted the seed for ShredEase. After researching further, I set out to create a cost-effective, animal-friendly bedding solution — without compromising on quality or environmental values.

The Problem We’re Solving

The pet bedding market has long struggled with a few key issues:

  • Dust, which can trigger respiratory problems
  • Spores, often found in natural materials like straw and wood shavings
  • Poor composability, making waste management a challenge
  • Low absorption, which results in mess and odor
  • Inadequate insulation, leaving animals uncomfortable in hot or cold conditions

ShredEase addresses all five. Our shredded cardboard is clean, naturally insulating, compostable, and highly absorbent — all without the dust or spores.
